Last week I was just settling into my new job with a sporting goods wholesaler. My duties were to be mostly in the shipping and picking department. The boss came to the warehouse and asked if any of us knew anything about the internet and websites. I had done a little so I said so. Turned out that the techy guy that came in once a week had taken very ill (he may never work again). His whole work folder was put on my desk. New images to go on the website were needed. Suppliers images needed to be reworked. All this required knowledge of Photoshop . I didn’t know how to use Photoshop. Fortunately I was able to find a program that taught me how to use Photoshop properly. The videos were so easy to follow, which helped with the steep learning curve I was putting myself thorough.
I got through the first deadline with the new images that were needed. I can’t believe how lucky I was to find a set of instructional videos that was so esy to learn from. After that everything seemed to fall into place. Each aspect of Photoshop can be difficult to grasp and the function of each of the tools is so important to completely understand. By learning a new program I have moved from the shipping floor to the main office and I have a lot of admiration from the other staff. Never be afraid to take on a new task, the challenge will propel you into a new level of self-confidence.
